Mr. Homoud Fahad Homoud Sultan Al-Qahtani

Mr. Homoud Fahad Homoud Al Qahtani is the Executive Vice President of the Industrial Cities Directorate at QatarEnergy. In this role, he is responsible for the development, operations, security, and sustainability of QatarEnergy’s Industrial Cities and ports. His responsibilities encompass infrastructure, facilities, utilities, ports operations, land and property administration, as well as the protection of people, assets, and the environment across these strategic industrial assets.
Mr. Al Qahtani has extensive executive experience across the oil and gas sector, ports management, industrial cities, shipping, and renewable energy. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Manager of Mesaieed Industrial City and the Dukhan Concession Area, where he led operations, maintenance, ports management, and industrial infrastructure planning, while driving cost optimization and operational excellence. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Port Manager of Mesaieed Port, where he was responsible for port operations, maritime safety, compliance with international maritime conventions, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
Alongside his executive responsibilities at QatarEnergy, Mr. Al Qahtani holds several prominent board and governance positions at national and international levels. He is Chairman of the South Hook LNG Terminal in the United Kingdom and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Siraj (1). He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Manateq and previously served as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Adriatic LNG Terminal in Italy.
Mr. Al Qahtani represented QatarEnergy and the energy sector on several national strategic committees, including the Qatari Standing Committee of the Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Civil Defense Council of Qatar, and ministerial committees related to raw materials, pricing, and sustainability. His leadership has contributed to projects and initiatives of national significance, supporting Qatar’s energy security, economic diversification, and long term industrial development.
