To encourage the growth of local businesses, enhance local suppliers, and develop supply chain resilience and business continuity, TAWTEEN launched the In-Country Value (ICV) initiative in Qatar’s energy sector in January 2020.
Qatar Fuel (WOQOD) is committed to localization initiatives under the leadership of TAWTEEN. All companies registered in Qatar are encouraged to obtain the In-Country Value (ICV) certification as soon as possible, as the ICV certification is a prerequisite for participating in any tender within the energy sector.
New companies that have been in business for less than 2 years shall be exempt from the mandatory ICV requirements.
It is crucial for all bidders to submit a valid ICV Scorecard at the time of bid submission. Failure to meet this requirement will lead to the disqualification of the bidder.
