Qatar Fuel “WOQOD” organizes unannounced evacuation drill to prepare skilled employees for emergency situations<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Doha-Qatar, 8</strong><strong><sup>th</sup></strong><strong> November, 2018 - </strong>Qatar Fuel "WOQOD" conducted an unannounced fire evacuation drill at WOQOD Tower in West Bay on 8<sup>th</sup> November, 2018<strong> </strong>to ensure employee preparedness and test the adequacy of its emergency systems.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"> The drill was conducted by all WOQOD Tower tenants including WOQOD, Oryx GTL and contractors personnel. The entire drill was supervised by the WOQOD QHSSE Department and Building Management System team, it involved active participation of more than 573 employees and contractors and the entire 30 floors of WOQOD Tower. <span lang="EN" style="text-decoration:line-through;"> </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;">The fire scenario took place on 17th floor of WOQOD Tower with an employee informing the concerned departments of fire sighting. The fire alarm was activated immediately and all WOQOD and ORYX staff and contractors responded and started the evacuation process through the staircases, where they gathered in the marked assembly points on the ground level, with security staff helping them to stand in safe locations until the building was marked safe to re-enter and the emergency situation was completely under control. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The evacuation was completed in 35 minutes from the time of sounding off the alarm, till the last employee exited the tower and gathered in marked locations. WOQOD organized the mock drill to ascertain the response of all employees to major incidents, and provide individuals within the organization with an opportunity to develop their roles in emergency situations. The drill helped test the effectiveness and practice the implementation of emergency procedures in order to confirm capabilities for responding effectively to a major incident.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">During the exercise, employees had the chance to develop their skills appropriate to the role they may play in an emergency, identify areas for improvement and report on the effectiveness of the exercise as well as implementation of emergency procedures.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">WOQOD's management demonstrated leadership and commitment to employee welfare and safety by extending their continuous support through provision of resources and trainings that significantly contributed to a well-organized, safe and successful evacuation drill. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The exercise exhibited complete cooperation between all occupants of the tower including WOQOD's employees and management, staff of ORYX GTL and the Civil Defense for proper planning and execution of the safety program and the accurate functioning of the fire alarm and detection systems for emergency facilities installed within the tower.​</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><br></p>Qatar Fuel "WOQOD" conducted an unannounced fire evacuation drill at WOQOD Tower in West Bay on 8th November, 201811/11/2018 10:00:00 PM
"WOQOD" Opens New Petrol Station Al Gharrafa-2 and One Mobile Station in Bu Fesseela<p style="text-align:justify;">​A​s part of WOQOD's ongoing expansion plans to be able to serve every area in Qatar, Qatar Fuel "WOQOD" opened Al Gharrafa-2 petrol station on Wednesday, 07 November 2018, and by this raised its network of various petrol stations to <strong>76</strong>.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">WOQOD's CEO, Engr. Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said: We are pleased to open new fixed petrol station Al Gharrafa-2. WOQOD aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort. WOQOD has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. WOQOD Achieved 825 Million Riyals Net Profits By The End of September 2018<p>​Engineer Saad Rashid Al-Muhannadi, Qatar Fuel Chief Executive Officer announced that Qatar Fuel Board of Directors held its fifth meeting for the year 2018 at 1:30 pm. on Thursday, 25/10/2018 at WOQOD Tower West Bay, presided over by Mr. Ahmed Saif Al Sulaiti Chairman of the Board. The Board discussed and approved the unaudited financial statements and operational activities of the Company for the Third quarter of 2018.</p><p>He pointed out that the net profits of the company at the end of the Third quarter of 2018 attributable to WOQOD shareholders amounted to QR 825 Million compared to QR 643 Million for the same period in 2017, with an increase of QR 182 Million equivalent to 28%.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">He attributed the good results achieved in terms of profit level to the efforts exerted toward enhancing efficiency and capability in company's business operations, and cost optimization in line with the study duly conducted and implemented since the year 2017. It is to be noted that the resulting cost reduction has been achieved despite the expansion of WOQOD fuel stations network.</p><p>Al-Muhannadi further attributed the increase achieved in profit levels to the increase of the volume of quantities distributed through the various distribution networks which had been enhanced and optimized both quantitatively and qualitatively to meet the persistent increase of demand for petroleum products and gas, along with accompanying services. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">He also attributed the increase to the prudent management of cash and investment activities.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The return on a share amounted to QR 8.30 by the end of the Third Quarter 2018 compared to QR 6.47 for the same period of the year 2017.</p><p>Concerning the company's projects, Al-Muhannadi explained that the company's plan is to increase the number of operational petrol stations to 130 stations by the end of the year 2020, of which 72 stations are currently operational.</p><p>​The company is targeting the construction and operation of 32 stations by the end of this year including 13 mobile stations. Of these, the company has completed and is operating 19 petrol stations including 9 mobile stations. Another 13 stations (including 4 mobile stations) will be opened thus increasing the number of operational petrol stations to 90 stations by the end of 2018. 47 locations are currently undergoing various stages of preparation, in order to qualify them for the construction of new petrol stations. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">With regard to the company's operations, Al-Muhannadi stated that the company has witnessed an increase on the sales of most products by the end of the Third Quarter 2018 compared to the corresponding period of 2017.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The average increase in the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 4.7% compared to the same period of year 2017. Jet fuel sales increased by 11% in comparison with sales of the same period in 2017 while Bitumen sales reached to about 203 thousand metric tonnes in current year which is approximately equal to the sales of same period of the year 2017. LPG sales increased by 14% whereas Bunkering Fuel sales reached 458 thousand metric tonnes, compared to 57 thousand metric tonnes for the same period of 2017. Sales of natural gas and compressed natural gas realized a 5% increase, in comparison with the same period of the year 2017.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">As regards the retail sales of petroleum products within the local market, the company targets to increase its stake to 86% by the year 2022. WOQOD increased its market share to 68% during the subject reporting period compared to 57% during the same period of the year 2017.</p><p>Retail non-fuel sales (including Sidra C-Store sales) have witnessed a 4.6% increase. The total operations value of WOQOD Subsidiary, WOQOD Vehicle Inspection Company "FAHES" increased by about 40%.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Al-Muhannadi stated that the Petroleum Products Sale & Purchase Agreement between Qatar Petroleum and WOQOD has been executed for a further period of five (5) years expiring on 30/09/2023. A new agreement executed recently embodies the terms, conditions and arrangements reached by the parties in this regard. </p><p>On the other hand, he stated that, the Board of Directors has approved annual budget for the year 2019, pointing out that the budget comprised the anticipated key performance indicators for WOQOD group in relation to the distribution and marketing of petroleum products and gas and <span style="text-align:justify;">other activities of WOQOD and subsidiary companies during the year 2019, and the requisite operational and capital costs and expenses.</span></p><p>In this regard, the company has allocated about 1.175 Billion Riyals to be spent on new projects intended for implementation in the year 2019. Qatar Fuel “WOQOD” organizes unannounced evacuation drill to prepare skilled employees for emergency situations<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Doha-Qatar, 8</strong><strong><sup>th</sup></strong><strong> November, 2018 - </strong>Qatar Fuel "WOQOD" conducted an unannounced fire evacuation drill at WOQOD Tower in West Bay on 8<sup>th</sup> November, 2018<strong> </strong>to ensure employee preparedness and test the adequacy of its emergency systems.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"> The drill was conducted by all WOQOD Tower tenants including WOQOD, Oryx GTL and contractors personnel. The entire drill was supervised by the WOQOD QHSSE Department and Building Management System team, it involved active participation of more than 573 employees and contractors and the entire 30 floors of WOQOD Tower. <span lang="EN" style="text-decoration:line-through;"> </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;">The fire scenario took place on 17th floor of WOQOD Tower with an employee informing the concerned departments of fire sighting. The fire alarm was activated immediately and all WOQOD and ORYX staff and contractors responded and started the evacuation process through the staircases, where they gathered in the marked assembly points on the ground level, with security staff helping them to stand in safe locations until the building was marked safe to re-enter and the emergency situation was completely under control. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The evacuation was completed in 35 minutes from the time of sounding off the alarm, till the last employee exited the tower and gathered in marked locations. WOQOD organized the mock drill to ascertain the response of all employees to major incidents, and provide individuals within the organization with an opportunity to develop their roles in emergency situations. The drill helped test the effectiveness and practice the implementation of emergency procedures in order to confirm capabilities for responding effectively to a major incident.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">During the exercise, employees had the chance to develop their skills appropriate to the role they may play in an emergency, identify areas for improvement and report on the effectiveness of the exercise as well as implementation of emergency procedures.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">WOQOD's management demonstrated leadership and commitment to employee welfare and safety by extending their continuous support through provision of resources and trainings that significantly contributed to a well-organized, safe and successful evacuation drill. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The exercise exhibited complete cooperation between all occupants of the tower including WOQOD's employees and management, staff of ORYX GTL and the Civil Defense for proper planning and execution of the safety program and the accurate functioning of the fire alarm and detection systems for emergency facilities installed within the tower.​</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><br></p>Qatar Fuel "WOQOD" conducted an unannounced fire evacuation drill at WOQOD Tower in West Bay on 8th November, 201811/11/2018 10:00:00 PM479

WOQOD Achieved 825 Million Riyals Net Profits By The End of September 2018<p>​Engineer Saad Rashid Al-Muhannadi, Qatar Fuel Chief Executive Officer announced that Qatar Fuel Board of Directors held its fifth meeting for the year 2018 at 1:30 pm. on Thursday, 25/10/2018 at WOQOD Tower West Bay, presided over by Mr. Ahmed Saif Al Sulaiti Chairman of the Board. The Board discussed and approved the unaudited financial statements and operational activities of the Company for the Third quarter of 2018.</p><p>He pointed out that the net profits of the company at the end of the Third quarter of 2018 attributable to WOQOD shareholders amounted to QR 825 Million compared to QR 643 Million for the same period in 2017, with an increase of QR 182 Million equivalent to 28%.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">He attributed the good results achieved in terms of profit level to the efforts exerted toward enhancing efficiency and capability in company's business operations, and cost optimization in line with the study duly conducted and implemented since the year 2017. It is to be noted that the resulting cost reduction has been achieved despite the expansion of WOQOD fuel stations network.</p><p>Al-Muhannadi further attributed the increase achieved in profit levels to the increase of the volume of quantities distributed through the various distribution networks which had been enhanced and optimized both quantitatively and qualitatively to meet the persistent increase of demand for petroleum products and gas, along with accompanying services. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">He also attributed the increase to the prudent management of cash and investment activities.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The return on a share amounted to QR 8.30 by the end of the Third Quarter 2018 compared to QR 6.47 for the same period of the year 2017.</p><p>Concerning the company's projects, Al-Muhannadi explained that the company's plan is to increase the number of operational petrol stations to 130 stations by the end of the year 2020, of which 72 stations are currently operational.</p><p>​The company is targeting the construction and operation of 32 stations by the end of this year including 13 mobile stations. Of these, the company has completed and is operating 19 petrol stations including 9 mobile stations. Another 13 stations (including 4 mobile stations) will be opened thus increasing the number of operational petrol stations to 90 stations by the end of 2018. 47 locations are currently undergoing various stages of preparation, in order to qualify them for the construction of new petrol stations. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">With regard to the company's operations, Al-Muhannadi stated that the company has witnessed an increase on the sales of most products by the end of the Third Quarter 2018 compared to the corresponding period of 2017.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The average increase in the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 4.7% compared to the same period of year 2017. Jet fuel sales increased by 11% in comparison with sales of the same period in 2017 while Bitumen sales reached to about 203 thousand metric tonnes in current year which is approximately equal to the sales of same period of the year 2017. LPG sales increased by 14% whereas Bunkering Fuel sales reached 458 thousand metric tonnes, compared to 57 thousand metric tonnes for the same period of 2017. Sales of natural gas and compressed natural gas realized a 5% increase, in comparison with the same period of the year 2017.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">As regards the retail sales of petroleum products within the local market, the company targets to increase its stake to 86% by the year 2022. WOQOD increased its market share to 68% during the subject reporting period compared to 57% during the same period of the year 2017.</p><p>Retail non-fuel sales (including Sidra C-Store sales) have witnessed a 4.6% increase. The total operations value of WOQOD Subsidiary, WOQOD Vehicle Inspection Company "FAHES" increased by about 40%.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Al-Muhannadi stated that the Petroleum Products Sale & Purchase Agreement between Qatar Petroleum and WOQOD has been executed for a further period of five (5) years expiring on 30/09/2023. A new agreement executed recently embodies the terms, conditions and arrangements reached by the parties in this regard. </p><p>On the other hand, he stated that, the Board of Directors has approved annual budget for the year 2019, pointing out that the budget comprised the anticipated key performance indicators for WOQOD group in relation to the distribution and marketing of petroleum products and gas and <span style="text-align:justify;">other activities of WOQOD and subsidiary companies during the year 2019, and the requisite operational and capital costs and expenses.</span></p><p>In this regard, the company has allocated about 1.175 Billion Riyals to be spent on new projects intended for implementation in the year 2019. WOQOD aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">WOQOD has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol station and will announce the opening of new petrol stations during this month to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">WOQOD team would like to extend their gratitude to the all concerned governmental and private entities that contributed / are contributing to the completion of this project."</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Lusail – Fox Hill station is spread over an area of 9400 square meters and has 4 lanes with 12 dispensers that will serve Lusail City and its neighborhood.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">WOQOD HIA station is spread over an area of 11700 square meters and has 4 lanes with 8 dispensers that will serve those frequenting Doha City and its neighborhood.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">In addition, the number of dispensers was increased in order to enhance the quality of the service and reduce the vehicle congestion at the petrol stations.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Engineer Al Muhannadi indicated that the two new petrol stations offer round-the-clock services to residents, include Sidra convenience store, Auto and Manual Car wash, Oil change and tire repair, sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Engineer Al Muhannadi further added that WOQOD is currently working in the construction of 28 petrol station projects, and a big number of these projects is expected to be operational this year. He explained that WOQOD has currently 7 new stations in the tendering phase and 10 stations in the design phase, assuring that this month of October will at least witness the opening of two new fixed petrol stations in Al Kharaitiyat and Al Thumama 2.</p><p>Engineer Al Muhannadi also pointed out that WOQOD, in furtherance of customer's satisfaction will open two Mobile diesel stations near to Wadi Albanat and Rowdat Al Hamama on 18/10/2018 and is currently working on the dismantling of diesel dispensers from Wadi Albanat, and Rowdat Al Hamama petrol stations, and will replace them by petrol dispensers. “WOQOD” Opens New Petrol Station in Old Slata<p style="text-align:justify;">​As part of the WOQOD's ongoing expansion plans to be able to serve every area in Qatar, Qatar Fuel "WOQOD" opened Old Slata petrol station on Wednesday, 10th October 2018, and by this raised its network of various petrol stations to <strong>65</strong>. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">WOQOD's CEO, Eng. Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said: "We are pleased to open a new petrol station in Old Slata.
