WOQOD’s 2nd Extra Ordinary General Assembly Meeting<p>​</p><p style="text-align:justify;">WOQOD's  Extra – Ordinary General Assembly duly chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahaman Al Thani, held its meeting in the evening of Wednesday 25 of May 2016 at WOQOD Tower - Al-Dafna .The meeting had been postponed due to the lack of Quorum in the previous two meetings .  </p><p style="text-align:justify;"> </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The Agenda of the Extra – Ordinary meeting included the following issues :</p><p style="text-align:justify;">1- Amendment of Article 1/9 of WOQOD's Articles of Association related to the abolishment of minimum shares requirement (previously prescribed at 100 shares for each single shareholder).</p><p style="text-align:justify;">2- Amendment of Article 1/26 to raise the minimum number of the Board meetings to 6 meetings a year.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">3- Amendment of Article 3 by adding the following activities and procedures to the existing practices undertaken by the company in furtherance of its objects as per the following:</p><p style="text-align:justify;">a- Article 3/6 :  to enable utilization of Sidra Brand Name for establishment and operation of Sidra C- Stores.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">b- Article 3/7: related to the vehicle related services and activities to be exercised by the service stations.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">c- Article 3/8 : allowing  commercial advertisement inside the service station premises.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">d- Introducing new Article 26/5 allowing the Board of Directors to pass decisions by "Circulation "procedure in cases of emergency or necessity.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The Extra – Ordinary General Assembly discussed and adopted the above amendments.</p>WOQOD's Extra – Ordinary General Assembly duly chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahaman Al Thani, held its meeting in the evening of Wednesday 25 of May 2016 5/25/2016 2:00:00 PM5/25/2016 4:00:00 PMWOQOD Tower Al Dafna, QatarMeetingاجتماعات00Woqod Head Quarters, Ras Abu Abboud Street, Doha, QatarWOQOD Tower Al Dafna, Qatar25.281619951.5367048000000562
Qatar Fuel (WOQOD) Held its Extra- Ordinary General Assembly Meeting<p>​</p><font color="#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3"> </font><p style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;"><font color="#000000" face="Calibri" size="3">On 6 March 2016 a first attempt was made to hold WOQOD’s Extraordinary General Assembly meeting. Qatar Fuel WOQOD Organizes Fire Drill to Prepare Skilled Employees for Emergency Situations<table width="100%" class="ms-rteTable-default" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td class="ms-rteTable-default" style="width:100%;"><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Doha-Qatar, 4</strong><strong><sup>th</sup></strong><strong> April, 2016</strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Qatar Fuel "WOQOD" recently conducted a fire evacuation drill at WOQOD Tower in West Bay on 29<sup>th</sup> March, 2016 to ensure employee preparation and test the adequacy of its emergency systems.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"> The drill was conducted by all WOQOD Tower tenants including WOQOD. Oryx GTL and contractors personnel. The entire drill was supervised by the WOQOD Building Management System and involved active participation of more than 412 employees and contractors and the entire 30 floors of WOQOD Tower.  </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The fire scenario took place on the 21<sup>st</sup> floor of the WOQOD Tower with an employee informing the concerned departments of fire sighting. The fire alarm was activated immediately and all WOQOD, ORYX staff and contractors responded and started the evacuation process through the staircases, where they gathered in the marked assembly points on the ground level, with security staff helping them to stand in safe locations until the building was marked safe to re-enter, and the emergency accident was completely under control. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The evacuation was completed in 15 minutes from the time of sounding off the alarm, till the last employee exited the tower and gathered in marked locations. WOQOD organized the mock drill to ascertain the response of all employees to major incidents, and provide individuals within the organization with an opportunity to develop their roles in emergency situations. The drill helped test the effectiveness and practice the implementation of emergency procedures in order to confirm capabilities for responding effectively to a major incident.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">During the exercise, employees had the chance to develop their skills appropriate to the role they may play in an emergency, identify areas for improvement and report on the effectiveness of the exercise as well as implementation of emergency procedures.</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p>Mr. Yousef Khalid Al-Jaber, WOQOD HSSE Manager said, "The exercise was conducted to raise awareness on the importance of quick response to events or incidents that could potentially threaten the safety and security of our employees. It's important for all employees to be aware of the key evacuation procedures they need to follow in an emergency situation. If tar Box Distribution <p> To mark the Holy month of Ramadan and reflect the spirit of brotherhood, QATAR Fuel (WOQOD) has distributed if’tar meal packages at its petrol stations across the country, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives during the Holy Month of Ramadan. </p> During the hour of if’tar, 4,000 packs containing foods and beverages were distributed to people at the WOQOD petrol stations. Ramadan Lectures <p> During the Holy Month of Ramadan, WOQOD hosted prominent scholars Shaikh Aais’sh Al-Khathani and Sheik Tarek Al Hawas for a 2 day lecture series to highlight the teachings of Islam and the true essence of the Holy month of Ramadan. WOQOD ACTIVITIES DURING THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN <p> On the occasion of Ramadan Qatar Fuel WOQOD sponsored a group of Qatari girls who have come together to launch a campaign called ‘Gratitude For Gas Station Attendants’ to show appreciation to the employees at petrol stations across Qatar. </p> <p> Lasting for the month of Ramadan, the campaign involves encouraging the public to distribute gifts bags with basic necessities to employees at petrol stations. </p> <p> The campaign was launched by Shefa Ali, an employee at Sidra Medical and Research Centre (Sidra) and a group of Qatari Ladies. </p> <p> The group of ladies has distributed bags to employees at petrol stations. Primarily, the campaign only targeted fuel pump attendants, but since they’ve started distributing the gifts bags, every employee they’ve seen has received one. The gift is given along with a gift card that is written in English and Hindi that says “Dear Brother, Please accept our humble gift in appreciation for all the hard work you do for us and our country, Best Regards from your Qatari family.” </p> <p> According to Shefa, employees at gas stations have one of the hardest jobs in Qatar. She said: </p> <p> They do one of the hardest jobs in the country, standing in the heat all day for long periods of time. We would like to show them our gratitude for their hard work and dedication by gifting them with a small bag of essential items.” </p> <p> If you would like to participate in the ‘Gratitude for Gas Station Attendants’ campaign, fill a bag with the following items:T-shirt and a cap, Packaged disposable razor, Deodorant, Toothbrush and toothpaste, Small hand towel, Antibacterial soap and shampoo, Hair comb, Sun protection lotion, Sunglasses. </p> <p> All items should be placed in reusable bags. Once the gift bags are ready, you can distribute them yourselves to the gas station employees. WOQOD strongly supported this campaign. </p> <p> On the other hand WOQOD also Had many other Projects during the holy month as part of their CSR activities including WOQOD Employees Suhoor, Distributing 4000 iftar boxes in all stations.
