The new service station was inaugurated by WOQOD’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director Mohammed Turki Al Sobia. Also attending were Members of the Board of Directors of WOQOD, and valued guests, WOQOD employees and suppliers.

The service station features a new brushless automatic car wash machine using technology from the American company PDQ. Commenting on this Mr. Mohammed Turki Al Sobai stated ‘We have experienced a huge demand for car washing in our existing service stations. This new brushless car wash is the very latest technology in car washing. The system relies on high pressure water to remover dust and dirt from vehicles. As there are no brushes there is no risk of scratching vehicles.”

Mr. Mohammed Turki Al Sobai, additionally stated that, “This new service station provides our different kinds of customers a 24 hour service. This includes the Sidra convenience store, car wash and quick lube operations. Now residents in Al Rayan can benefit from the WOQOD offer. The station has a convenience store offering fresh and fast food as well as services including ATM and QTel payment systems. There are manual car wash facilities, quick lube operations and tyre changing too.”

WOQOD has two other service stations that are near completion and will open them this year . The locations are in the Industrial Area and Ghraffah. At least a dozen additional locations are in various forms of planning and construction and further openings will occur in the first half of 2010.
