Doha, 17/11/2013 - Qatar Fuel “WOQOD” opened a new service station in Bu Samra on 17th November 2013. The new service station is located near the Qatari-Saudi border approximately 85 kms west of Doha. The station was officially inaugurated by Mr. Mohammed Khalifa Turki Al Sobai Vice Chairman and Managing Director of WOQOD, several members of WOQOD board of directors, members of the local community, and WOQOD management.

“We are glad to inaugurate Bu Samra service station today, it is the 3rd service station that WOQOD inaugurates within the month of November”. Mr. Sobai stated, Adding: “In designing this service station we took into account the varied needs of the travelers through Bu Samra border point, as well as the needs of the local community in Bu Samra. The station will include a vast travelers rest equipped with modern and sophisticated sanitation facilities, designated parking area for buses and a special lane for fueling trucks, in addition to a large mosque”.

The service station will provide gasoline and diesel for motorists and travelers through Bu Samra Boarder point. It will also have a Sidra convenience store that provides a full range of hot and cold beverages, fast food and a wide variety of daily needs for travelers and visitors. The site also includes a car wash, and a multipurpose automobile service bay for basic vehicle maintenance. Additionally a number of fast food restaurants and a pharmacy will soon open in the Kenar building. The concept is totally in keeping with WOQOD’s desire to provide a community center to customers in the area and passing by on Salwa road.

Bu Samra is the 23rd service station in WOQOD’s new image. Further site will open this year in north Mesaieed. WOQOD currently has a number of additional service stations under construction and another 9 under planning consent.
