Doha, 10/11/2013 - Qatar Fuel “WOQOD” opened another new service station in The Pearl-Qatar on (10th November 2013). The new service station is located in The Pearl-Qatar Island approximately 10 kilometres north of the downtown central business district directly north of West Bay of Doha. The station was officially inaugurated by Mr. Mohammed Khalifa Turki Al Sobai Vice Chairman and Managing Director of WOQOD, and several members of WOQOD board of directors. Also participating in the inauguration were a number of municipality and government dignitaries, and WOQOD employees.

The service station offers a mix of products and services for the local community in The Pearl-Qatar as well as the large numbers of tourists and visitors that the island receives every day. “In designing this service station we took into account the varied needs of the different types of customers that will use the site” Mr. Sobai . stated, Adding “The station will provide gasoline for motorists and a large Sidra convenience store that provides a full range of hot and cold beverages in addition to fast food and a vast collection of daily needs for the station’s visitors. The site includes a separate manual and automatic car wash facilities, tyre bays and basic vehicle maintenance. The concept is totally in keeping with WOQOD’s desire to provide a community center to customers in the area.”

The Pearl service station is the 23rd service station in WOQOD’s new image. Three more new service stations will open in Novemnber, two in Meisaeed and on in Abu Samra near the boarder between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. WOQOD currently has an additional two service stations under construction and another 9 under planning consent.
