It is my great pleasure and privilege to share with you on this distinguished day in the history of Woqod and to celebrate the fruitful joint efforts and tremendous hard work which resulted in the accomplishment of the first petrol station of Messaimer 1. This petrol station is the starting point in our strategic plans, where about 50 petrol stations, covering all geographical locations in the state of Qatar will be constructed, among them, 4 petrol stations will be commissioned in this year. The process of building new petrol stations will be accelerated in the coming years, when official authorities provide us with new locations which are suitable for the new urban planning structures which the government is executing for both new as well as old areas of Doha.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen , this petrol stations was designed by a well known international consultancy firm, who is highly specialized in designing petrol stations for international companies, and in accordance with international standards. This is equipped with the latest technology related to safety measures, environmental requirements and customer’s satisfaction standards.

It is worth mentioning that when designing this project, and for the first time in the Middle East , we took into consideration the problem of pollution and environmental issues. A vapour recover system has been installed . This system allows to reduce pollution and to preserve environment by receiving the hydrocarbon vapors from road tankers at the petrol station during discharge of petroleum products, and during refueling of customer cars. This vapor will be backed returned to the loading gantries to be re-processed and recovered into liquid by the vapor recovery unit. All fuels storage tanks have been designed to preserve the environment and avoid product’s leakage into soil or water table. We are cooperating with official authorities concerned with environmental issues to adopt procedures on how to get rid of the sludge used lubricants.

To commemorate the event of the Asian Games 2006, which Qatar is hosting during December, WOQOD decided to introduce a new petroleum product called Gasoline 95 Octane, and for the first time in Qatar. WOQODalso decided to re-name other petroleum products to comply with the Asian Games medals and to be as follow:

• Gasoline Super(97 octane)       - Gasoline Platinum



• Gasoline(95 octane)                  - Gasoline Gold



• Gasoline Premium (90 octane)      - Gasoline Silver

The new petrol station provides all necessary requirements for customers including car wash, lubricants, mechanical workshop, tires repair and other services such as post office and internet café. A mosque was built, furnished and equipped to serve customers and Messaimer residents. We would like to take this opportunity to invite donors to contribute to the building and furnishing of new mosques to be built in our new petrol stations. God Bless You All. In addition to what we have said, a highly skilled and qualified technicians and laborers customer service staff were selected for our petrol stations. Extensive training programs were conducted to ensure that excellent quality services are provided to our customers.

At the end, I am pleased to seize this opportunity to express my best regards and thanks to H.H. the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, for his continuous support and wise guidance. I would also like to extend my gratitude and regards to H.H. the Heir Apparent, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, H.H, the Prime Minister, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Khalifa Al-Thani for their continuous support of our company.

In addition, we extend our thanks and regards to the government, public and private establishments who contributed to the achievement of this project and the employees of the company for all efforts extended. We will meet again in the near future to celebrate the opening ceremony of the second petrol station of Messaimer 2. Our new projects will be very beneficial to our shareholders and will contribute significantly to the economic development process of the country.
