Doha-Qatar, 19th November, 2015-Located in the heart of Doha, new station to add to the convenience of residents and provide round the clock quality services and products

Qatar Fuel “WOQOD” opened its 29th service station in Bin Derham Area, following the recent opening in Al Khor’s Thakhira Area, as part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans to grow its network of service stations in Qatar.

The new service station 4560 (meter squared ) was inaugurated by H.E Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Bin Hassan Al Thani, along with several board members and senior management team, in addition to high profile guests from Qatar’s diverse business sectors.

The newly opened facility features 4 lanes with 8 dispensers in total.

The station will also offer round-the-clock services to Al-Muntazah, Mansoora, Al Hilal, Najma and Musheireb communities including Sidra convenience store and LPG cylinders.

Eng. Ahmed Ali Mirza , Manager of Engineering Services Department , said: “We are keen to leverage our growing network of service stations to support the rapid urban and economic development in Doha. The inauguration of Bin Derham service station is in line with our strategic direction to enhance our operational capacity, by establishing more service stations across Qatar that adds to the convenience of our customers. We have amplified our efforts to keep pace with the increasing demand for our high quality products and services across the length and breadth of Qatar, and aim to open 6 more outlets before the end of the year.”

This is the sixth new opening completed by Woqod this year with earlier openings of the Al Lagthafiya Al Wakra, Wajba, Al Thakhira and Lijimiliya service stations. WOQOD’s expansion strategy seeks to increase the total number of service stations operated by the company to 100 by 2020 given land availability by the authorities. Other projects are currently under construction or tendering stages and will be opened in 2016 .
