Doha-Qatar, 9th November, 2015 - Qatar Fuel “WOQOD” opened its latest service station in Al Khor’s Thakhira Area, taking their total count to 28 stations, as part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans that seek to grow its network of service stations in Qatar.

The new service station was inaugurated in the presence of H.E Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Bin Hassan Al Thani, Chairman of WOQOD, as well as Engr. Ibrahim Al-Kuwari, CEO of WOQOD, along with several board members and senior management team, in addition to high profile guests from diverse business sectors.

The Thakhira service station includes 3 fueling islands with 6 dispensers. The station will also offer round-the-clock services to the Al Khor and Raslafan communities including Sidra convenience store, oil change, auto and manual car wash facilities, auto repair and purchase of a wide range of fuel products such as lubes and LPG cylinders.

Engr. Ibrahim Al-Kuwari, CEO of WOQOD, said: “We are continuing with our ambitious expansion plans to reach and serve each and every neighborhood in Qatar. The launch of the Thakhira service station will help us address the growing demand for more service stations across Qatar, in line with the expected population growth over the next few years. At WOQOD, we are committed to further enhance our operational capabilities and provide value added and best-in-class services and products to all our customers, within the vicinity of their homes and offices.”

This is the 5th new opening completed by Woqod this year with earlier opening of the Al Lagthafiya Al Wakra, Wajba and Lijimiliya service stations. WOQOD’s expansion strategy seeks to increase the total number of service stations operated by the company to 100 by 2019 given land availability by the authorities, with 12 additional service stations under construction, and are expected to open by end of 2015 and early 2016.
