Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Muftah Graduated with a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from University of Miami, Florida in 1986, and Joined Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (Offshore Operations) in 1986. Mr. Al-Muftah was appointed as Electrical Engineer in 1991, as Senior Electrical Engineer in 1993 and as Lead Electrical Engineer in 1994.

In 1996 was promoted to the position of Head of Specialist Engineering in the Dukhan Consolidated Facilities Upgrade Project (DCFUP). He then transferred to the position of Assistant Engineering Manager (Dukhan Projects) in Engineering Department (Onshore) in 2000.

 Mr. Al-Muftah was promoted to the position of Engineering Manager (Offshore) in 2004 and transferred to the position of Engineering Manager (Major Projects) in 2006. Appointed as Director Ras Laffan in 2010 and as Director of Industrial Cities Directorate in 2012. Appointed as Vice President, Industrial Cities in 2015.

Mr. Al-Muftah is on the board of Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company Q.P.S.C. (MPHC), and became the Vice Chairman of WOQOD’s board on 1st of July 2019.
