International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Certification confirms the organizations’ commitment to excellent customer service.Doha, March 2, 2009 -
Qatar Fuel (WOQOD) and Q-Jet, affiliate companies who have the sole concession of marketing, distribution and storage of all petroleum products and related services in the State of Qatar, announced that all its business processes and support services have achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 certification last 11 December 2008, from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), the world's leading international provider of business assurance and management system certification services.
Customers of WOQOD and Q-Jet, which includes all residents of the State of Qatar, rely on WOQOD and Q-Jet for the continuous availability of fuel products, and related services to provide the highest quality of support. The voluntary certification assures the customers of WOQOD and Q-Jet’s commitment to quality and continual improvement in delivering superior products and services.
"Achieving ISO 9001:2000 certification is a remarkable milestone for WOQOD, Q-Jet and all our customers," said Mr. Mohammed Turki Al Sobai, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of WOQOD and General Manager of Q-Jet. ISO 9001:2000 standard specifies Quality Management System (QMS) requirements focused on organizations’ ability to meet and improve upon customer satisfaction and quality requirements. As part of the certification process, WOQOD and Q-Jet established their own QMS to ensure that the marketing and distribution of all petroleum products and related services in the State of Qatar continued its long-standing commitment to customer satisfaction. WOQOD and Q-Jet has embraced a management system beyond the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 standards through the use of powerful tools such as Balanced Scorecard in setting objectives, targets and programs, 8D Method for corrective and preventive procedures, best practices in bunkering (WQMBS) and other best practices to name a few which are consistent with the organizations’ vision to be the leader in the Region. The achievement of the ISO certification illustrates that ISO standards and best practices are part of the process of achieving this vision.”
