Doha, June 24, 2007: Qatar Fuel “WOQOD” opened another new image service station, located at Mesaimer East. The new service station is located almost opposite the flagship site that WOQOD opened last year.
The service station was formally opened by H.E. Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy and Industry and WOQOD’s Chairman. In attendance were members of WOQOD’s Board of Directors and WOQODs senior management team.
“This new service station is another commitment from WOQOD to radically change the quality of service customers in Qatar experience when fuelling their vehicles,” stated Mr. Mohammed Turki Al Sobai, WOQOD’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director. “We are adapting by listening to our customers and adjusting our facilities to ensure we continue to achieve excellent customer service. Of special interest to this site are the fast fueling facilities for diesel trucks, with high speed diesel pumps capable of fueling a truck in less than 2 minutes. We have also adjusted our layouts to better separate heavy trucks from private vehicles.”
“The new WOQOD service station includes all the facilities customers have come to expect from our brand,” added Mark Vidler, WOQOD’s Marketing Manager. “Fresh foods, great coffee, internet café, the best car wash in town and a convenient place to change your lubricants. We also are putting considerable effort into the training and development of our customer service delivery staff. They are the true face of WOQOD and we aspire to have the reputation in Qatar of giving the very best service.”
Asked about future development plans, Al Sobai admitted that Qatar’s rapidly developing economy is driving the demand for more service stations. “We aspire to open 10 service stations a year and currently have contracts in place for new service stations in Naiiejah, Al Rayan, Dukhan, north of Qatar University, two in Eid Khalid and Al Ghraffah. You will see work starting there very soon. New contracts are being negotiated for other
locations and these will be announced when awarded. WOQOD’s development team is really performing well, we are very proud of their abilities to deliver and proud of our organization to work together to drive the company forward.”
Al Sobai added, “Soon we will be introducing new technological applications never seen before at retail service stations. So well is this developing that we have been approached to consider international expansion, another opportunity to add value to WOQOD’s shareholders.”
