Doha, 04 April 2011 – BURGER KING, home of the famous WHOPPER® sandwich, today opened its first outlet inside a WOQOD station, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment by Al Jassim Group, franchisees of the Burger King brand in Qatar, and WOQOD, the country’s leading petroleum and related services marketing company to enhance the diversity of offerings at WOQOD Service Stations.

Situated within the WOQOD Station in Al Rayyan, near Jarir Bookstore on Al Rayyan Road, this latest addition to Burger King’s network also makes it the first major food chain to establish a presence in WOQOD’s fast-expanding network of fuel stations in the country.

The official opening ceremony took place in the presence of WOQOD Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Mohamed Khalifa Turki Al-Sobai and Al Jassim Group Chairman Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Jassim Al Thani, in addition to a number of senior officials representing both companies.

Mr. Al-Sobai said: “This is a significant moment and marks the first such partnership between WOQOD and Burger King in Qatar and we hope this partnership will add significant value to WOQOD’s customers.”
